So I went out and bought myself one of these things today. ...And I've been screwing around with the damn thing for the better part of two friggen hours! How in the bloody blue hell do you download music from places such as Limewire and your own CD's into the Shuffle? I don't have a damn clue on what to do, and the pulsating vein in my forehead is about to explode. I've already started to mutter under my breath and thrown things around. Someone help me out with this, please. |

Limewire is illegal! /jk ![]() When you install Limewire it should create a folder where your downloaded music goes to. In iTunes got to 1) File> Add File To Library 2) Open the folder where your music is downloaded 3) Highlight all the songs you want into iTunes and press open 4) Then after your Shuffle is connected to your computer, highlight all the songs in your library (hold down Ctrl to select multiple songs) and drag them to the Shuffle icon on the left of iTunes. For a CD- 1) Put the CD in your disc drive 2) In iTunes there should be a little pop-up window that says, "Would you like to burn XXX into your iTunes library?" Select "Yes". 3) iTunes will download all the tracks into your library. 4) Repeat steps 3-4 from the previous set of directions. |

shuffle only plays your songs on shuffle or the order of which you put them on from your playlist.. i know alot of ppl who got them around christmas time cuz they were the cheaper "ipods" and the parents who bought them didn't know jack shit. lots of returns that year i imagine |
Yeah, there's not a lot to do with the thing. That's why I'm glad the girl goofed and gave me the 1gb model instead of the 2gb I was looking at. It's got a nice small size, and a clip at the back for ease of carry. I'll probably just load it up with all my rock songs and use it when I need that extra blast of adrenaline during workouts. Later on down the line, I figure I'll pick something up were I can organize groups/genres of songs in folders and play what I want. |
Is there anything bigger than the shuffle but without the added video capability of the nano? I'm looking to get a music device now. |
Sansa Clip is a good alternative to a iPod shuffle, the Clip has a small two color screen so you can see and pick what you want to play, up to 4GB, easy to use, and cheaper than a iPod. ![]() www.sandisk.com/products/default.aspx?catid=1363 |
The Sansa looks nice. But I can't find a recharger accessory. Does one come included that they don't tell you about? |
It recharges via USB just plug it in a port. You can get a AC to USB adaptor from Wal-Mart. www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5750794 |
Your Zune cowers in fear of my Ipod Touch, which is what I'm using to post this reply. |
Thanks for the advice. I just ran down to Circuit City and exchanged the Shuffle for a Sansa E250 2GB. Doesn't have a clip to hook onto gear or packs, but I guess I'll just have to figure something else out. Looks pretty cool. |
