Holy shit I went to put gas in the car and it was $4.15 friggin dollars a gallon...

I am not putting blame on anyone--but shit it looks like we are going to be hanging around the house a lot..I mean a lot...

This is what I wrote to my "wonderful" Senator...

Dear Senator,

While many on Capitol Hill are discussing and grilling those that are in the oil industry, I am concerned with what our Senators of Washington State are doing.  While I am aware that oil moguls are making money and lots of it, I believe that the state is taxing us to death on gas as well.

Please explain to me what the state does with the money they are receiving from each gallon of gas.  Furthermore, what is this state doing to help us (the middle class) with this burden.  Gas prices near me are $4.15 a gallon.  How are we as your constituents  supposed to live?

How much do you care about the people of Washington State.  While you are "helping" those in Washington D.C. the people here in your home state are suffering.

While you guys are out campaigning for Mr. Obama, who is bringing in tons of money, the people in your state suffer.  What are you, Senator Cantwell, Govenor Gregoire, and the candidates going to do to help us through this crisis?

You blame Bush for everything that goes wrong in this country.  I blame Congress.  You promised that if we voted for you, everything would change.  And it has for the worse.  You depend on black voters (like myself) to continue to support your party when it does absolutely nothing for anyone but boast hope and change.  Is this the type change we are looking at?

Please stop putting blame on others and do something to help us here.

I'm driving a few hundred miles this weekend. I'll be sure to bitch about it when I get back, since I'm pretty sure it'll lower prices.

I like Subnet, really I do. But when you work from home and only jump in the Jeep once a month for ammo/booze, gas really is'nt an issue.

I've used up like 1/2 a tank in the Yeep so far this month. I haven't driven my Mustang at all this month.

Okay, I'll stop now.

Ofcourse not, I like you bud, I'm even more sheltered from the price of gas currently, as I'm in Iraq, all I have to do is go to the fuel point.

Was just pointing out, I've probably read you say about 2309482304923 times that the price of gas barely affects you.

I think ANYONE who frequents GD knows that.

You know, I didn't realize I was doing that in all the gas threads. There's so many of them, that after a while I guess I kind of run out of things to say - whether it's economic, or how it affects me personally, or (fill in the blank) and I end up repeating myself.

Message received.
