I bought some strips and wanted to grill.

Anybody got some simple marinade suggestions?

Nothing too crazy. On a scale from 1-10 on an "effort scale," 10 being portabello mushrooms and homemade grillin sauce, 1 being salt and pepper, I'm looking for about a 3-5.

You are in AL and have to ask about a marinade for steaks? Dales steak seasoning FTW! just dillute it by at least a third or it's too salty.

Dales meat marinade, 1 beer, add honey to taste, and sprinkle with cajun seasoning. turns out pretty good, i use the beer to cut down on the salty taste of dales

I put Dales on EVERYTHING. I mean everything - including sautéing green beans in Dales.

While I keep a fresh bottle of Dales at all times, I'd rather not use it on steaks.

Anybody got something with fresh garlic?

/oh, and how long?

Have you tried worcestershire sauce? I use it on some
steaks and on chicken(with Montreal Steak Seasoning)

This stuff is terrific!  Years ago, I made the first infomercial for Edgar and Reece when they first started out making this after their restaurant burned down.  At the end of the shoot, we couldn't let all that food go to waste, so we had a feast.  They took an 18-wheeler full to QVC and sold out in 30 minutes.

6 parts soy sauce (teriyaki works)

Went with the following:

1/3 cup EVOO
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp canadian steak seasoning (knock-off Montreal)
1 tbsp fresh minced garlic

Turned out pretty good, tho pretty salty

Next time, less soy sauce and less evoo

I shake so much seasoning on it that it makes a crust when I broil it

Italian dressing and beer. Flip the meat over every 8 hours for the day before you cook.
