| Is there a website that I can use to find the current cloud ceiling in my area? |
|
Weather link: forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Dallas&state=TX&site=FWD&textField1=32.7942&textField2=-96.7652&e=0 On the right side of the page, under current conditions... click " 3 day history ". It will give you the latest observations. Cloud heights, visibility etc. |
Exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks! I just has a 747 fly over the apartment on take off and by the time I got outside it was just starting to go into the clouds. |

The METARS are typically updated every hour too. This page is pretty cool. adds.aviationweather.gov/metars/java/ You can draw a box around your area and look at all the METAR stations. |
Here is the METAR page METARS Here is the TAF page Forecasts Use the " K " before the airport ID ... ( KDFW ) The zulu time is + 5 hours on DST. I use to live off the DFW 180 radial 6 mile fix ... fookin' NOISY with stretch 8's taking off into the South wind. |
