Do you guys get enough sleep? Or do you normally operate on sleep deprivation? When I get a full 8 hours of deep REM sleep, I feel fantastic. |

5-7 is my usual. Not to say that I couldn't use more but I'm at my desk at 4-5 am for 15 minutes and off running up and down (literally) monitoring production non-stop until 4-5 at night with no breaks. I find that once every other week, I crash HARD at 6:30 pm and sleep good until it's time to do it all over again. I'd love to go to bed early every night, but enjoy a little time with my wife. I'll sacrifice the sleep for that. She's worth it. |

I usually sleep 10-12 hours if I don't have to be up early the next morning. On the other hand my dad can go days without sleep. He works full-time (12 hour shifts) as a gas plant operator then comes home and runs a cattle business, and also does bull dozer work and welding. He pretty much never sleeps, just takes naps. have |

8-9 hours to be really mentally sharp. Very much less than that and I can tell the difference. You can adapt to some degree to that... but you have a biological need for sleep that there's no getting around. Unfortunately, in my profession sleep is sometimes a luxury. |
Damn...I'm surprised someone else here knew about that band. I got turned on from the movie Gummo |

I've suffered through chronic insomnia for the last 10 years, eight hours a night would be nothing less than a dream come true. A 'good' night for me lately is 4-5 hours, usually much much less. I probably average around 3 hrs. a night.... I've said it before, this shit will pobably kill me....
