I've heard a bit of his non-entertainment work. He does make a lot of sense and pisses the right people off it seems.

Has he ever run for or been appointed to a public office?

McCain/Cosby 2008 (they'll never see that one coming)

I had a cousin named Stewie and he used to make bicycles.

Google Cosby's comments on Clarence Thomas.

Just because he says the right things about some black people, doesn't mean he's right all the time.

I agree, he is not right all the time. And I was not in any way serious about the VP thing, just curious about the office thing. I googled, found a lot of "honorary" this and that and speaking engagement sound bites.

I could picture him as a mayor somewhere.

Bill is an old school liberal.  Not all liberals are dumbasses who wish to change America and piss money away on useless/damaging programs.  I'm sure he'd rather re-direct/inject federal money into programs he deems helpful.

He definitely has a clear understanding of the TRUE nature of the problems that America's black community has to contend with,  and he speaks his mind about how to overcome
those problems, and doesn't pull any punches in the process.

I think that's a really good thing and I truly hope that his message is heard, heeded,
and acted on in a positive manner.

Now when is Cartoon Network going to start running reruns of Fat Albert, already?
