Every year for the last 10yrs or so my uncle has taught the local hunters saftey class and every year he takes a few of my guns to show the kids different types of actions. For the last few he's taken my AR-50 just because the kids, and fathers, think its cool. Last year some new Hunters Ed rule maker came for my uncles class just to see how he ran it. The guy told him not to bring the .50 again.

My uncle loves this stuff. He teaches 4-H archery to and gets nothing for his services except he loses his free time two weekends a year for the Hunters Ed class and every friday night for archery. So he basically told the guy to fuck off.

Yesterday he came and got my guns and I added a new AR for the children.

Then he said well wheres the .50. I reminded him he's not supposed to take it and he said if that guy wants to teach the class he's more then welcome. He said the .50 is big enough for all the kids to see the parts and stuff since they're so big and its something that keeps the kids attention.

So we'll see what happens I guess. I don't know why I posted this it just pisses me off that the .50 is a no no but my .338 and every other gun is fine.

Oh well just some more of my daily life I shouldn't be posting

Tell him to keep up the good work.

My wife and I teach 3-4 Hunter Ed classes a year and we ALWAYS bring at least 1 AR. Last class my wife brought her pink AR, the kids and adults thought it was cool.

I use a piece of GAU-8 barrel, case and projectile to demonstrate how cartridges, chambers and rifling work together.
