Why is it that so many barrels and weapons available on the EE have only 500 rounds through them?? Is this a magic number of rounds when the owner decides they want to get rid of it.......or............are most of the "500 rds" statements probably just crap?? For an AR it works out to about 17 30rd mags. For a pistol it's obviously 10 boxes of rounds ( unless they're Wally World specials , in which case it's less. What's everyone's take on it? ![]() I think it's usually crap ( though there are a handfull of items that truly have just that many rounds through it ). I'm not calling most people liars , just wondering how many statements are true. |

i sold one of my old uppers at about 700rds and i bought one that they said had 900ish.. Figure with my its only a few times to the range.. I shoot atleast 100rds each trip to the range, so 4-5 times shooting it.. takes that long to decide if you want to keep it or not.. |
So you would pay the same for a barrel with 5,000 rounds through it as you would a barrel with 500.......providing the owner promised it was never used on an auto weapon and was cleaned after every use ?? Not trying to be an ass , I'm just on a different wave length I guess. |
