Got a USB hard drive.  It came with some lame WD Sync sofware, which for some reason won't back-up .mdb files.

What does everyone recommend?  I like the sync idea, but the missed files and encryption scare me.  I would rather just have the files copied so there would be no worries about retrieving them.

Any programs that would allow me to run applications on the drive?  Like the U3 stuff for memory sticks.

Thanks for any advise.

Do you want to mirror the drive?

This might be a dumb question but here it is anyway.

Using the portable apps can I run any software on the USB drive?  Example MS Money....can the application reside on the drive?
