hey staff..... when are you going to set up arfcom/lite so that those of us using mobile devices can post and reply? |
|
install this on your phone and your good to go www.operamini.com/ |
|
here is what it looks like.. notice the reply buttons? all the text fits on the page.. i off set it on purpose.. ![]() test drive here.. www.operamini.com/demo/ and yes its free.. < other then the data your already using.. > |
I think about that EVERYDAY. See sig. 95% of my ARFCOMing is done on my phone. Doing it right now. BTW, that Opera Mini doesn't work on a Sidekick, so for now I'm out of luck. |
|
I just got a new blackberry from my company that can access the interwebs, and of all the gun sites I am a member of have a lite version that I can log onto and post replies except here. I dont mind, cause I can read and post away when I get home, but I am not allowed to load any software on it that is not company approved |
The Sidekick does Java, but only the basic stuff. Nothing too advanced. These SK's are too proprietary sometimes |

My first post with my i760! via opera mini. I had to install java first. see... http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/samsung-sch-i760/95085-i760-opera-mini-how-install.html worked for me! I'd still rather have login/post on Lite... see... http://arfcom.com/lite/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=696865 |

I now have O-M v. 3&4 on my Samsung i760 . I'm toying with the settings. I have not found an ultimate setup yet, but it is 'workable'. I wish there were more options in 'settings' especially where font size is concerned. Worth more than I paid for it! - which is zero. Is there a paid version with greater functionality? |

Opera mini v4.1 Beta ROCKS! Update by going to http://mini.opera.com/beta/ After using v3, then v4 - all the things I didn't like were addressed in v4.1. The situation is that unless you stumble on the new beta version you'll never know it's out there. Runs well - and refreshing the page is like IE for WM. Mods, you can leave Arf Lite alone now. |
Sweet ,thanks for the heads up. It will take some getting used to but seems to be good so far. |
The 8525 does do java ... only way its not there is if someone removed it.. go over to the xda dev forums to find it.. but out of the box.. the 8525 does java.. and does it well. edit: unless by 8525 you meant the tytn.. then i think it had to be added. but with so many roms out there.. that is not an issue. |
Actually, I'd still like the option to post of ARF Lite ...please? |
From the tacked subcription thread, page 3
We're getting Lite with login/post - whoppee!!! |
