I am not normally the type to spend $80+ on a flashlight. My MagLite's done me good over the years but I ran into a SureFire 6P LED at Lowe's. Was $85, now on clearance for $61. I also have a 20% off coupon that Lowe's sent me when I moved. This brings the price down to $49. What do you guys think of the 6P LED? Worth the price? Can I get a better LED for around $50-60? |
Are you absolutely sure that it's the led version? |
| If it is the LED version, then that's a great deal.I bought one at Lowes for around $80.00 about 2 months ago.If it is an LED it will have LED in big letters on the package. This is a great light and the Led version has better battery life,11 hours vs.45 minutes on the standard 6P. |

The 6P LED's and G2 LED's are awesome. Remember that they take unusual batteries, though. Cheapest source for those is the internet; about $1.25 each, which is less than most C's and D's. The incandescent 6P's and G2's (the normal kind, not the LED kind) are less expensive, and almost as bright, but the runtime is a meer hour compared to 8-12 for the LED's. Also, the incandescent bulb is naturally much more fragile and short-lived. The only difference on the packaging is that one says "LED" somewhere, and the other doesn't, so look very closely before you buy. |

That is the G2 not 6P. |

This might interest you www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?t=174546 Its a 6p copy from cabelas. Every part is interchangable with the SF. I bought one of the led upgrades from ebay and for the money is a great light. It also comes with a decent folding blade as a package deal. I think the deal ($20) is still on but not advertised. I have two of them and they work flawlessly. |
Awesome, I bought that combo and have the same light. I have been wondering if a SF LED module would fit it or not. |
