Security guards that don’t have guns carry around big long metal flashlights for protection. If they have this flashlight made by ARES Defense Systems they won’t have anything to worry about…

“A grenade-style pin removes the safety, and the flashlight fires a .410 shotgun round out the back when a button is pressed. A Mini-Mag size fires a .380 round”

The shotlight (flashgun?) HAD to be designed by a committee.

That doesn't seem like a bright idea, IMO. How the hell do you keep from flagging yourself?

It's been around for a number of years.  That Ares is Ares of Shrike fame.

Anyhow, as I understand it, Maglight Company was NOT amused.  Their lawyers sent Aes a letter and production mysteriously ceased.

Nice AOW, though- and the $5.00 tax is awesome.

Umm, the SAME button that activates the light? If the pin gets snagged on something and comes out, the guard will get a nasty surprise when he goes to shine the light at something.

I thought that name sounded familiar... there was a guy with an Ares jacket at the finish line of this marathon my buddy just ran.

So you have to make the choice between seeing your target and shooting your target?

not only that, if you light up the target, and then spin the barrel end around to shoot, the D-cell maglight's light is pointing directly into your eyes.

Is it an A.O.W.?

Is there any danger of blowing your balls off if you hit the wrong button?

According to their website they haven't made them in years, and IIRC they won't even work on existing ones.

It just needs a knife blade than injects compressed air.

Now they just need to make a fleshlight/shotgun combo for the ladies/gay guys.

Did you miss the part about the mini-mag firing a .380?
