I had a friend ask me how much force a .50 Desert Eagle would have on someone and it got me to thinking if there was a web sight that listed the different calibers of bullets and how much force each of them have like their acceleration when exiting the muzzle or other statistics. Just a random question.

In before the picture showing the explosive power of the 10mm through balistic gelatin.

By force I assume you friend means 'knock down power'?
Tell him there is no such thing...we measure these things in velocity.

Some physics expert will be along, but it will come down to a few variables...

mass of the projectile
velocity of the projectile
type of projectile (hollow point / round ball)

These thing will lead to the terminal wound channel created by the shot.
The most 'force' will be whatever combination of the variables above results in the most internal damage and rapid blood loss.

of course, you might just be referring to recoil, in which case there are definitely some calibers out there that will kick harder than the .50AE
