I have noticed several of these in the EE for sale and they have barrel bushings. Hvae I missed something and is SA making the champion now with a bushing instead of a bull barrel?

The Champion I owned had a bushing. In fact, I've never personally seen a Champion w/o a bushing.................

all the ones i have saw had the bull barrel, but i haven't seen one that was newer than say a 2003 model.

You may be thinking of the Ultra-Compact which has a 3.5" bull barrel as opposed to the champion with a 4" barrel/bushing setup.

I bought one a year ago brand new and it has a bull barrel (no bushing).
