I have had AIG Auto Insurance under the NRA Member's Benefit Package for the last 3 years or so, but now that I've found a better deal on the same insurance for 50% of the cost, I'm looking to cancel my account. If I wanted to cancel my account with them, does anyone happen to know if they give you a prorated refund on what I've already paid for my 6-month policy period?

I would think you would but, a phone call to them will clear it up quickly

Most places ding you a few percent for a cancellation fee and then pro-rate the remaining balance.
I ditched AIG when they tried to raise the rates because wife had a card near max.

Isn't AIG going bankrupt anyways?

I don't know. What I do know is AIG has been charging my $900+ every 6 months and Progressive wants $450 every 6 months. F AIG.
