I just got my NRA Life Membership package in the mail In it was a window sticker that says "NRA LIFE MEMBER" My wife says "Cool, put in in front window of the house" I say no way don't want to advertise my guns. She says It lets people know you are armed.

Is she right or am I?

You are right.  The sticker would be an invitation to thieves.

You should put up a "Gun-Free Safety Zone" sign instead.

I would rather have that sign in the widow than one on the lawn stating "This is a gun free zone"

Several years ago I gave one of those gun free home stickers to the lib down the street.

Robbed inside of 2 weeks.

Bad move to advertise your guns.  You can't be home always.  Remember, it's embarrassing to walk in on a burglary in progress in your own house, and get shot with one of your own guns.

I'm an NRA lifer here too, but I am seriously considering taking the window sticker off my car for fear it might make car thieves think they can score a gun.

On second thought - I'm going to leave it on.  Got to annoy liberals somehow, ya know?
