A car plowed into a crowd that apparently gathered to watch a drag race on a suburban road early Saturday, killing seven people and injuring at least four, police said.
The car went out of control on Route 210 around 3:40 a.m. and hit people standing on the roadside, Prince George's County Police Cpl. Clinton Copeland said. A tractor-trailer that came by shortly afterward may also have struck someone on the road as it tried to avoid the crash, he said.

"It's probably one of the worst scenes I've seen," Copeland said. "This is a situation that could have been avoided, and it's a very tragic situation.

All true, but you will never see any one call for a ban on cars because they are dangerous to society.

Actually, I think Al Gore has said he would like to ban cars.  At least for us in the unwashed masses.  You know our carbon footprint being so big and all.

Nor should you see that ban.  No inanimate object should be banned because of misuse by a human.

Nonsense.

You have a right to join a crowd. (Peaceful assembly.)

You have no right to own a car. (It isn't even MENTIONED in the Constitution.)

All these shooter types pulling off the mass murder shit also have something in common. They all wore black. I say we profile people wearing at least 60% black clothing, better yet, just ban all black clothing.

Until this is done, I will not feel safe.
