I'm trying to figure out a fairly secure way to keep my AR locked up but quickly accessible in the bedroom.  Mostly want it to be child-resistant and idiot-resistant but anything more than that is a bonus as long as it's not severely cost-prohibitive.  Maybe something like a rifle v-line or lifejacket clamshell?  A full size safe for me is for slower, more secure purpose lockups and longer term storage.  Any ideas?  Thanks for any help.

I keep my safe unlocked yet closed so none of the kids can get in their when I am home.
I have a routine for leaving the house and locking the safe is part of it. At night it is also
unlocked yet closed and I am not fearful of an intruder getting to it before me since it is
in my room and I have my 2 dogs sleeping somewhere int he house. Either with the kids,
living room or on my bed.

Thanks for the replies.  I'm leaning more away from anything electronic and more for mechanical, hopefully not keys either.  Any more help is appreciated!
