| When arguing with a liberal, go on the offensive. Do not sit back and be defensive like you did. Just look at how she attacked you consistently over nothing. As wrong as she was, she was in control. You need to attack back more aggressively until she can't speak anymore. At this point if your VERY lucky, she will start asking questions and you can then rationally explain your position like civilized human beings. |
| I think I'm about to step in it but...She's a liberal and a dumbass. Not necessarily related, as I have known conservatives who voted Republican simply because everyone they knew was Republican. They were sheep. This girl's jackassery simply was aimed in a liberal direction. I have known, and continue to know, many reasoned liberals. I can't do that because I don't let emotion drive my discussions. Liberals typically get all fired up and start name-calling and yelling because they have no way to back up their beliefs. When you can't support your position, it's easier just to throw a fit and change the direction of the argument. |
Don't let emotion drive your arguments, but be offensive. Yes they get all fired up and start name calling, but that's when you start firing off facts and statements faster then she can send out insults. Say things like, "Why do you support the slaughter of innocent women and children?" and "Why do you want to enslave the American people?" and things like that. Say these faster then her insults. This forces her to step back and attempt to defend her positions. This is the only way to get them to slow down and attempt a reasonable discussion. Above all, stay calm and focused. Just be fast with your words. |
