The hard drive on my dad's wifes computer crapped out. He replaced it and reinstalled XP. Now when she goes to retrieve her e-mails on Yahoo mail she can only read messages. They cannot be deleted, forwarded, or replied to. If she enters her Yahoo password on my dad's computer, which is hard wired into the same router, all e-mail functions work properly. What would cause this? I've tried adjusting security and privacy settings in IE but it made no difference. Help!

I think Yahoo mail requires either flash or Java, when I use NoScript
and forget to allow yahoo I have the same issue.  Are cookies enabled?

Yes cookies are enabled. Not sure about Flash or Java.

You need to have the Java run-time for Windows installed.

Get Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 3 from here:

I sent them the link and they installed Java run-rime but it still didn't work. Anything else it could be?

Not really sure.  I'd have them clear their Cookies, Cache, and Temp Files and reboot.  Those are odd symptoms.

Also, have you tried Yahoo Mail's built-in support?

Clearing the cookies did it. She re-entered her addy & password and it worked fine. Thank you for your help.
