....we celebrated the birth of the baby Jesus by having my wife shoot the AR for the first time. 25 yds, 5 shots in 2.5 inches was her first group, open sights. She has moved up from her beloved 10/22. At 50 yds it really opened up, but her fingers and toes were getting cold by that time. Maybe it's good that it was barely 20 degrees out, or she would have cleaned out all the 5.56 from my range box.

We had all the kids over Sunday. Today was the day spent at boyfriends/girlfriends families homes so nobody had to feel rushed around. We had a super quiet day to ourselves and took advantage of it. our range is tucked way back in the woods on quite a few acres. Knowing we wouldn't disturb anyone by going, we opted to get some shooting in. |
