They sure look nice, but are these worth the few extra bucks each?

Thanks.

I've got a couple that I haven't used yet.

From the torture tests some people have put them through they seem pretty much indestructable.

If you shop around, you can get them at an even price for what some charge for USGI mags.

Of course, you'll pay more for the window mags.

And if you end up paying $2 more per mag, trust me man, it's worth it!!!

The durability of these things is phenominal.  I never have to worry about bent feed lips again, it's well worth the money!

Yes. Only AR magazine I will ever buy again.

I bought one to try. It would be fine with me if ALL my mags were Magpuls.

I like them just fine, but have no intention of changing all my mags over. I have 10 Magpuls and 50+ USGI.

When there is less than a $2 difference per mag, I'll buy magpuls.

I bought 20 of them.

All very nice, but the usgi mags I've been using for the last 20 years are even better.

They have 20 years of fail proof history.

I have gradually acquired a fair number of PMAG's, but have yet to test them.  They sure are neat though.  Look very sturdy and they take down for cleaning a bit easier than USGI -type mags.  I probably have enough 5.56 mags (of all types) and am now going to get some 6.8 mags for the next build.  You should try a PMAG or two for the price.

I just got my first two with a couple rifles I picked up.  I haven't bought an AR mag in years, just keep getting them with the rifle packages I buy and hold onto them.

I'm still testing them out in my guns, I have 2 lowers that the GI mags work no problems, Orlites work no problems, even the Ramline mags work no problems, but the Magpuls don't want to drop free.

In my other lowers, they all drop free, but for some reason in those 2 the magpuls don't.  So I'm still testing and evaluating on my end.

I like the looks of the green mags and the orange mags, makes it hard to lose your mags at the range...   but I'm looking at going to a dump pouch system anyway, so that may not be an issue.

For the extra 2 bucks, I think they are well worth the money if they do everything like everyone says they do, but like I said, I'm still doing my own testing here and if they pass, I will be buying some more.

Please tell me where I can get them for $10 ea, or even $12.  I can get USGI mags for that price all day long.  If Pmags were priced appropriately (the MAP was the same as USGI mags cost) I'd buy a bunch of them, but I don't buy mags in ones and twos (I buy 10-30 at once) so a couple of bucks difference does matter to me.

Contact Magpul .  I think some of their early production PMAGs didn't drop free in some tight lowers.

Magpul will replace all PMAGsâ„¢ dated 6/07 and earlier for free.

A local vendor who is a board member had them at the gunshow for 10 for $120 out the door, tax included.  I know this because me and my buddy went in together.

Life is good. We have people complaining about new AR magazines costing a whopping $14!!!!! It is getting to be more expensive to fill them than buy them.

Back on topic, I like the P-mags a lot, especially the window ones. Good to here they work in Iraq & Afghanistan too.

After reading what everybody here had said about them I bought two from midway last week, gotta tell you I was amazed with these things.  Not like the typical polymer crap mags.

The lock in a lot easier than my old USGI mags when loaded and drop free no problem.  I am a big fan.

I just bought 11 of them, but I haven't tried them yet. They drop free from all three AR's and are definitely a hell of alot tougher than the regular mags I have. I need 12 more mags to get to 100 30 rd. mags and I will be finishing out the 100 with P mags. I will probably get a chance to try some of them this weekend. I am positive they will work, but I will be more than just positive when I do some shooting this weekend!

These are EVERY BIT as reliable as the $45 HK Maritime mags that I was foolish enough to buy. Scratch that. I've had stoppages with the HKs. I have NEVER had a stoppage with the MagPul.

Yeah, the MagPul mags might be $2 more than Billy Bob's Bargain Basement magazines, but they're a heck of a lot less expensive than HK and, in my experience, more reliable.

If you plan to quibble about $2 more on a bargain, I'm guessing you should stick to Airsoft or Grand Theft Auto on the X-Box.

I have 8 so far, getting ready to increase the herd soon.

The ONLY issue I have had so far is filling them with stripper clips.  I had one freak instance in which one of the rounds went in all funky like and caused the mag to jam up inside.

I keep 6 of my PMAG's loaded and with the covers on at all times, hopefully the plastic stuff wont break on anything.

I have totally transitioned over to P Mags after this thread!

They are better than ALL of my aluminum GI mags in the extreme cold! I WILL NOT own another GI mag..........

I tied a rope around one and druck it down a black topped road for 3 miles behind my snow machine in -10 degree cold....... it still works!
