Do you own any firearms? Are they locked up? Do you have any certified firearm training?

I am pretty sure the first two are fine. My insurance company has an existing firearms provision up to $2,000, beyond that I have to insure individual firearms. If I have a safe I get a discount and additional firearms coverage. The third question is liberal bullshit. Basically a myth that if you have "actual" firearms training you are safer or some other holyier than thou with firearms than us common civy folk. Which is crap. Basically they want to know if you are a cop or something like that becasue it will affect your premium with guns in the house. Without saying, well I will; cop doesnt not equal good with firearms. add: I have been to some weapons classes and it is the best place to find ex-navyseal-commando-ninja-specops-supersecert-walmartsecurityguards. |

Boy some of the knee jerk reactions....loosen the tin foil hats. Those questions go to: 1: property to be insured 2: potential liability in case someone in the home is accidentally injured in a firearm related incident. (intentional shootings would not be covered under the liability portion of the policy) And yes, both affect the premium charged. |
