Another remodelling question for you ... Are simonton windows any good? The contractor is using a double hung simonton window that says "contractor" on it. My specs say "anderson or approved equal" any opinions? thanks |
| We install Simonton sometimes at work. Not too bad I guess. Just get one of their higher end products. The nailing flanges on the lower grade Simontons suck. Brittle as hell. I've seen some pretty sloppy silicone jobs on them too. Andersen windows are excellent, and some of the high end Vetter products seem pretty good too. |
