Any of Ya'll starting to see the parallels between today and the "Wild West" of the 1870s ? There is an armed and violent fringe comprised of lawless dregs of society who completey disregard the basic elements of civilized society. They live and act out violence upon the rest of us like wolf packs, committing violence either singly or in groups. The rest us are either killed, abused, raped, maimed, or have our posessions stolen unless someone with a gun and the nerve to use it kills them. One constant I have observed is that it takes someone with a gun to stop someone who is using it. It can be the LEOs or a citizen, but someone has to kill them. I gun up every day, (either a Beretta 96 or a Colt Commander) with an extra magazine or two, carry an M4 in my truck with 2 30 rounders, and keep two loaded 12 guage shotguns and a .44 mag in the house. Wife has a loaded .38 in her shop. Hell, I don't want to shoot anybody. But its pitiful when you go for an evening walk and your wife bumps into you purposely to see if you have a gun. Where is John Wayne when we need him? |
