ok, i just had a hard drive? installed in my computer to give me more D space. my C space only has 6% space left. just before this i started having problems with internet explorer.

if i type a web address into the IE browser, and click enter, it freezes the page up. i have to ALT CONT DELETE the page.  to get it to work, i have to type the web address into the google search bar. what a pain in the ass...

i have Norton 360 running and just did a complete virus scan with it.

sometimes when i click on a link to open a new window it freezes up.

any help ??

Windows does tend to have problems when it starts running out of drive space.  It's not impossible that you're running low on swap space and the machine isn't liking it very much.

Have you moved any of your data over to the new drive to open up some more space on the boot drive?

ok, whats the best way to send something from C drive to D drive? i opend up C+ D drive in different windows, and LEFT clicked and dragged it to the D drive window and dropped it. so now BOTH c+d have the same thing in it...

right clicking on it and scrolling to "SEND TO" doesnt give an option to send it to D drive.

When you drag and drop hold down the shift key.  You'll see the little box with the plus in it disappear, then you'll move the files rather than copy them.

Just be careful what you move.  If you move programs they won't work because everything points to the old C drive location.  Good things to move would be movie or video files.

i cleared cache, temp. internet files, moved a few things from the low spaced C drive to the new, high spaced D drive....

restarted the comp, did a couple other things to the IE that were suggested on a website..

still, when i type in a website in the IE browser, such as www.AR15.com, and click Enter, the IE window just freezes the fuck up. this is SO annoying. but if i click on it in my favorites, or type it into a google browser, then enter, click on the google link, it works. WTF????????

ETA i also used comcast desktop doctor to "repair internet explorer settings" with no luck.
