A friends computer is infected with a load of spyware and he said he tried to remove the following with the latest version of spybot but they kept coming back...any ideas on how to get rid of the following?

Zlob

Virtumonde
Smitfraud
Tagasaurus
Zedo
ZenoSearch

Did he get the Zlob from trying to play the Zoey Zane video n her blog, because I did, and I still can't find out how to get rid of the damn thing.

Try running spybot in safe mode.

Superantispyware is the shit. And it's got a free trial that'll clean your computer.

see this is what you get for looking at pron and touching your self!

I hate to tell ya but the best way to clean it is with a Format C: and start fresh..

Once compromised the system will never be secure..

I routinely (like every other month) just reload the system from the ground up. This gets all the spyware including the root-kits that go round now and again.

+1 for sure!  Once your PC gets teh pox like that, best to cut it off!  It's like rust on a car, it'll never be the same . . .

If you "Format" C: drive do you have to reinstall Windows from a disk or does the computer do everything automatically and go back to it's original state like when first bought?

I've got a laptop that is getting screwy...

Basically you have to re-install and set everything back up again unless it came with a special CD that does it for you.
