Just curious what the differences in the rules are that govern EE posting for Dealers and Industry Partners and the rest of us, specifically with pricing. The sticky just says that different rules govern these individuals and companies but isnt more specific.  Many dealers openly post their prices, others require a phone call to get their "best price". I am sure the argument is the Manufacturers Lowest Advertised Price shpeel but if thats the case, why do some post prices and others dont for the same sorts of things? This argument may be valid in some cases but I suspect in most its just a means to get a buyer on the line in hopes that personal contact will close more sales then providing the information and allowing the consumer to "self-shop"

Personally I like the idea of transparency and tend to deal with those who put their price out there for all to see. I like to do my shopping at night when I finally have peace and quiet. Calling a vendor during their business hours isnt convenient for me, and I am the customer Perhaps I could save a few bucks once in a while by making the extra phone calls but I cant help but wonder if it's similar to buying a car where no 2 people pay the same price depending on who you talk to and how hard you push

Just my $.02 worth. YMMV
