Ditto. I only order items that are in stock and most of the "OMFG BOTAC SUX" threads seemed to be "I ordered something that wasnt in stock and it took longer than 3 weeks for me to get it so I got mad and cancelled my order" which resulted in credit card problems. The one time I ordered something that wasnt in stock I did have to wait 3 weeks before it was shipped but didnt freak out and patiently waited. Others have said that Botac is under different management and their Customer Service QA/QC has gone up. I've not had a negative experience in the three or four years (and, admittedly, only half a dozen purchases) I've dealt with them so I cant compare their current level of competence with anything other than other vendors. Botac is one of the best priced and quickest to ship. |

Out of my 3 orders with them, only one went smoothly. I guess the low prices keep me going back. I once ordered about $200 worth of stuff and was never provided a tracking number. The order was placed near the middle of November. I gave Botach some time and it never arrived. I called and they stated that UPS must have stole it  . Anyways many nasty phone calls later it was found on their loading dock. So, it is Dec 21nd and I wanted to use some of the stuff for Christmas presents and I told them I need it now and that they should overnight it to me. They said they would but I would be charged for the shipping. Bullshit! Anyways, I fought and won and got the stuff on Dec 23rd and off course some of the stuff was missing. I called and they said it was out of stock. The thing I can't figure out is, if in November they told me everything was in stock, boxed up and shipped and the box just sat on the loading dock, how is some of the stuff out of stock now? My opinion is they are asshats.However I never learn and I ordered a maxpedition bag and it got here in 3 days so thumbs up to them for that. |
i'd love to know how that works. you live in hawaii and can get things shipped to you faster than I can get them from the next state over. confusing as hell. |

I've bought lots of stuff from them, never had any problems, but apparently others have. I am on their email list, so I get frequent notices of close-outs. 5-11 sport coat for $19.95. 5-11 pants for $9.95. A couple of years ago they had those little keychain LED lights for $3, so I bought a ton of them as stocking stuffers. 123A batteries when they have them on sale. Etc. |

Very similiar experience to mine. Called them to verify items were in stock. Told they were. Placed order via website. Waited about a month. Heard nothing despite multiple emails and calls. Finally get a hold of them and cancel order after about two months. Get items elsewhere. Credit card not charged, so I dismiss. Then about two months later, read four months after placing order, I receive most of the items I ordered.  So even after I cancelled the order via telephone, they still sent if four months later and charged my card. |

My take on Botach Tactical : Pros: Large inventory of cool shit Excellent prices. Cons: Incompetent staff who fuck up orders half the time. Terrible customer service Long , Long wait for something that is not in stock I've ordered from them probably 15 times  and they fucked up 3 orders which I had to fix.the large inventory and great prices are what baits you, you just have to make sure that what you want is in stock and the order is carefully placed. |
| I tried to order a liger belt from them because they had the cheapest price i could find. 2 weeks later with no belt i called them and they said they didnt have the belt i wanted in stock. they were fast to cancel my order and i ordered from maxpedition. had it in less than 5 days. |

I've had mixed results with them. If there is no problem, you get your mechandise quickly and at a great price. If there is a problem, it can take quite a while to get it straightened out. My recomendation is to avoid them if you can't tolerate much risk to your schedule. If your tolerance on when you get your stuff is wide, and you just want the best price, go for it. Just be aware that if your order gets cocked up, it could be weeks before it gets straightened out and it will require some considerable effort on your part. | I've ordered from them numerous times. The first several purchases were problem free. However, my last two orders the items have been on backorder. I get an email from a person named "Asonja" asking if I would like something else. The last two times I've emailed them back to just cancel the order. No problem. I've had better dealings with Botach than with lapolicegear. |
