So I am about to go doggone crazy. About 2 months ago someone gave me a half black lab/pit bull. It looks like a HUGE lab, maybe a rot. He is a very well behaved dog who is equally mannered inside or out. His size combined with a playful attitude isnt what you need for children but I have none. He is also a great yard dog that barks at everything. No doubt anyone with (-) intentions will be properly taken care of. His head is about the size of a bowling ball has attitude to back it up. I am still getting used to him, as it has been about a 6 months since my 13yo brown lab had to be put down from severe diabetes.

Thanksgiving day I get back from my folks and see a fuzzball in the ditch in front of my house. I check it out too find it is a dog. I figure it was hit by a car and poke it with a stick. Immediatly it wakes up and starts running in circles. I bring it too the house too find it is a pet, has a collar no tag, and clipped nails. She is still a pup and must have been too much for someone to handle. Housbreaking and some simple commands are needed. It wont come too me whne called. Name ideas are turkey, holiday, or foxy. She will approach me only when I crouch down. She wont wake up easy and is very startled when you do wake her. Also it wont settle down. It is constantly walking in circles around the table, me, etc.

Every dog Ihave ever had was given too me full grown, well behaved and obeyed commands. I have never had a puppy. This is going to be fun. The only thing I know to do is let her be by myside a much as possible, maybe it will like me eventually.

Hot Dogs are my friend LOL

Here's Crazy Cody (sleepy after a long, hard day)...

I guess all you can do is give him time, try and teach him the rules of the house, and hope for the best.  Like People, each dog has its own personality.  You just have to get used to one another.
