Reminds me of the destroyer (Eversole, a Gearing class that had undergone FRAM I modification) whose anti-submarine helicopter lost a dummy torpedo while flying over a carrier (Bennington). Said torpedo had enough forward momentum to impale itself on the carrier's conning tower. Big investigation followed. What didn't humor the destroyer captain was when some sailor painted an aircraft carrier on scorecard on the bridge of the destroyer. After it was removed, said painting reappeared again. It was painted over and would mysteriously appear again. Finally the skipper said no leave for anyone so long as an aircraft carrier was painted aboard his ship.  Lesson, it's humorous but promise the command that there'll be no leave until all those "inc" marks are removed. (edited to add the name of the involved ships) |

If I understand your post: It is suspected some Specialist (E-4) with a sense of humor is adding ", inc." to unit assets (vehicles)? Is this correct? Furthermore, you are asking what to do about it? Correct? I agree with the "no leave/no pass" until it stops, but let them know it is noted as humor. I would guess it will stop. |
For what? a simple ass chewing offense? BTW, Master Guns, you fight dirty. Why, I'd bet you'd kick an enemy soldier in the balls!

Ignore it. After awhile it won't be an issue and it will go away. Or you could put one of those cool "Alaska Girls Kick Ass" stickers next to it. I sent my son dozens of them on his first tour. He stuck them on Humvees all over Fallujah. He was also known to go on creeps wearing his Nike basketball shoes. "What are they gonna do, send me to Iraq?" He still got his body count and made it home in one piece enough to do a second tour. Go team. |
