[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Is anyone else on Charter. net internet

I'm not sure if I'm loosing my mind here.

Seems that each time I try to access AR15.com and a few other gun related boards, I get "connection reset" at least 10+ times before I get through. I have ended up using my cell-phone internet through the laptop to be able to post sometimes.

Any other page loads up lightning fast: news, weather, sears.com, etc.

I had that at a client's place of business on a different web site though. The problem was solved by updating the firmware on a linksys router. How are you connecting to the internet ? Modem or modem and router ?

The modem that my inlaws have is old as hell. It's an old wireless-B router.

It has been fast every time we have been up here, but this time, and only on specific sites it's slow.

I need to talk them into a new router....................

We went from Charter to Suddenlink to Jetbroadband in the course of about a year..

Update the firmware on it. That may help.
