My co-worker just told me about it. Not sure if it is an anti-war film or just the behind the scenes view of the war, as I just heard about it less than 10 minutes ago but I am sure it will have its slant. I mean the title pretty much says it all. What brings it up is it comes out in theater this Friday, but users with HDNET can get a sneak preview Thur. for free REDACTED Truth is the first casualty of war. A montage of stories about U.S. soldiers fighting in the Iraq conflict, focusing on the modern forms of media covering the war. From the IMDB: IMDA: REDACTED |

The movie is about the ALLEGED rape of a 14 y/o muslim girl, who was then burned to death, and her family shot to death - by US Troops. This movie is not only anti-America, anti-US Military, but the ignorant tribes of the M/E will view it as TRUTH. The anti-America sentiment will continue to increase with kind of crap! |
Worse than even typical Hollywood. To call Redacted anti-American trash is an insult to trash. The directors stated purpose is to paint US Military personal as monsters. |
I wouldn't capitalize "alleged" because two soldiers, Cortez and Barker, that were arrested for the crimes admitted they rape her in statements. Those two soldiers pleaded out. Another soldier didn't plea out and he was convicted. Cortez received 100 years (eligible for parole in 10) and Barker received 90 years (eligible for parole in 10). The other soldier received 110 years (eligible for parole in 10). Another soldier involved in the crimes was discharged before the crimes were pinned to the soldiers. However, the Feds arrested him for the crimes. |
Meanwhile:
Lions for Lambs, from MGM, opened in 4th place. It has grossed $6,710,000 this past weekend, total grosses are $6,710,000, and it has been out 1 week and is appearing in 2,215 theaters. I’ll let somebody else figure how much per theater. In short almost nobody outside of LA, San Fran and NYC are seeing it. |
