Looking to become one.  My grandfather is/was one forever.  He's been to sick to go to meetings for a fes years though. This will be his last christmas with us.  Very good man, he was my example of how to be a man. This world be be a bit poorer when he passes.

Many a man has become a Freemason due to his Father/Grandfather as have I.  I only hope I can be half the man my grandfather has been to me to my children/grandchildren.

Let me know if there is anything I can do for you to help you along with the process.

Also, God bless ETH!!

I have always been curious as to what the masons are/do. From some of the responses I got, it sounds like more of a bunch of guys just hanging out, getting away from the women for a while. What is the real story?

In a nutshell, a charitable fraternity that seeks to take good men and make them better.

Make them better, how? Will you teach me to dodge bullets? Learn Differential Mathematics? Whats the extended version?

It's more about how you conduct yourself as a man. Every freemason I've ever had the pleasure of meeting was a very good man.

I recently passed by a Lodge here in CA. It was very well hidden. The logo with compass was in front of the building facing the road!

I've known more than  one Freemason that was an abysmal human being.
I believe the Masons have done many great things for many people and is a great organization, but not EVERY Freemason is a very good man.
Like many organizations, the benefits of belonging can be and is abused.

Our firehouse was invited next door to the Mason's Lodge for lunch...very yummy and they treated us VERY VERY well.

But what's up with all the symbols and the painted walls. It was like trying to decode a treasure map....I think Nick Cage was on to something
