I just asked my dad if I could post a dinner pic and if A cook some decent food and B take a pic with a pistol, knife, rifle, man utensils, man napkin, and good old A&W Root Beer in a Chilled Mug. He was cool about the food but said he would absolutely not allow me to post pictures of our guns on the internet... Here is my question... can I get a 10/10 if I do all of the above except exclude rifle and pistol? Or will you guys shoot it down? So do I give it a try? Or do I just not do it? j0hn

I agree with him too... as for the age... 16. Don't discredit me however... I have a collection going and I like guns. I'm here for information and laughs... |
You eat zits for breakfast. Negates your opinion. If people are not willing to respect the tradition of the pic, then they cannot receive full credit. Now, if the kid was smart and drew pics of the guns, or even cardboard cut outs... fair enough. But, stapler, napkin, gun mag, knfie, measuring device, utensils are also required. TRG |
Looks like top honors went to someone without all the "extras" www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=634181 |
Trust me, that one ain't even in the 'honorable Mention' Category. TRG |
I would not discredit you; I applaude you in your search for knowledge. Hopefully your dad joins (if he hasn't) and you can both expand your knowledge in a dad & lad fashion. |
I have my own guns... thing is even though I paid for them they are still in the name of my father... So they are "mine" but legally they are his... Besides I live in HIS house. I live by HIS rules because I value a roof over my head. And secondly I respect my parents; a fad that seems quite unpopular among other youths... They will all be transferred into my name when I become of age... Besides if you actually read my previous posts you could see MY guns... here it is again and no this is not contradictory to my dads rules... the first two in that post are the real deal and are approved... the others are the same exact model and configuration as the ones I own... |

lucky to have a dad thats willing to do that for you. When I'm a parent I'll let my kids use my firearms but I wont purchase one for them because they want it (lol unless I want it...). Even if they have the money for it that they've "earned" or worked for. LOL the first question I'll ask is how they heck they got all the money. After that I'm going to have to sit down and talk with them about wise purchases. I won't be buying my kids cars or paying their insurance, if they want to drive they have to foot the bill for it. I'm more of a you want it you earn it kind of person. kids these days don't understand the value of the dollar...then again there are lots of other problems with kids these days as well |
Well put, my views are the same. Too many kids these days just get stuff given to them. Tell me how every kid on campus that I see driving is in a vehicle that costs well over $50k? |
