Asian Student Associations, Muslim Student Associations, African-American Student Associations, and the like are encouraged and so prominent on campus but an "Anglo-American Student Association" is dubbed "racist"?? I'm sure I'm one of the few non-white people that sees this racial double standard, which is why I absolutely refuse to join any kind of Asian Student Association. |
Whitey isn't very popular these days. But i guess you've already noticed that.

Meh. We (white dudes) have plenty of clubs that - while not exclusionary in writing or even deliberate action - tend to be comprised of white guys. I guess we don't have any real desire to form a "Anglo-American Student Association", because there really is no shortage of clubs mostly made up of white guys. Heck, look at the county I live in. It's well over 90% white. It's not like this because it's a law, or because we scare minorities away. It just is. Same with a bunch of clubs. I don't know of any gun clubs that disallow minorities, but if you go to one, chances are it's going to be mostly white <shrug>. |
