Got a 1971 Chevelle SS and would like to be able to use my I-Pod in the vehicle. I do not want to replace the factory stereo sytem as I want to keep the original look. Is there a piece of audio eqipment (amp, tec..) I could mount under the seat and attach to the front and rear speakers and then just plug my I-Pod into it?

Not very stereo savy as you can tell.

Well, you're up shit creek.

Could you have the front panel of the current radio attached to an new FM radio?  It could effectively be a mock-up of the original radio in terms of appearance.

Why not mount a new stereo in the glovebox, hidden from view?

+1, I've seen that done in quite a few autos.

That is a nice fucking car dude, where do you live and where do you hide the keys?
