I despise machines like that.

Better keep that incline up.

I bought my wife and her sister  a club membership but they decided to refund it as they would not be able to take full advantaqge of it. My wife suggested a treadmill in place of the club so I bought her a very nice one.  I placed it in the den so it would be near where she usually is in the house and be handy to jump on. She did not like it there and had me lug it upstairs to the game room. This was one year ago. I placed a book on top of it with the treadmill in the folded up position. The book is still there with the treadmill not having been touched in a year.

Get a gym membership instead.  See that one person's post about the equipment never having been used.  My dad bought a NordicTrack back in the late 80s or early 90s and used it maybe 5 times.

At least at the gym, you have other people around you to motivate you and there's usually a good offering of equipment other than just treadmills.

Additionally, you both can go to workout at the same time and you can let yourself be caught checking out the hot chicks, so your wife knows she'll need to keep herself in shape.

If she refuses the gym membership then you're going to have a fatass for a wife.  Good luck!

My apartment complex's gym has treadmills.  I've been exercising on them for the past year and a half.  I haven't lost any weight...

My treadmill has incline and electronic running programs.  Make sure if you get one that it isn't a $400 treadmill from Wal-mart.  Spend some money on it, and then use it.  If you have a $1500 treadmill taking up space in your basement, that will be incentive to use it!

I recently picked a a $1000 treadmill from Sport's Authority for $325. (Floor model, on clearance.)

There are deals out there if you look.
