How far can you see?  That will answer your question.

due to the small size of the dot, you can easily make well-aimed shots at 200 yds, more depending on your eyes.

If you have a strong arm, probably 30 yards.

edit: Does yours shoot death rays or something? I should have gotten the 552 doggone it...

I personally have used an EOThingy to hit man-sized targets at 400 yards using a Bushmaster Shorty-AK ( AR-15 sporting a 11.5" barrel w/ a stupidly long AK-style break ), so I would guess that your proposed platform could do at least that good and probably better.   Would I expect 1/4 MOA performance? Probably not, but definitely good enough for .gov work.

It doesn't have an effective range for say.

However the 1 MOA dot tends to wash out objects
far larger then the dot size indicates ,especially
when you mount the optic closer to your eyes.

At around 400 yards a 12 inch gong is completely
obscured by the dot when mounted as far forward as
possible on my FAL .  (DSA Extended mount ,and my eyes)

With it sighted in at 200 yards,I find that if I  put
the dot above the gong as if making a figure 8 out
of it and the dot with a space between equal to the dot
I can bang that gong at 400 .

At 300 ,I barely cut the top of the gong.

Past 400 is possible, but more like morter fire for me .

I've used it to 600,but even with knowing my bullet drop,
the wash out of the human eye makes it guesswork.

I haven't had the chance to see if the new magnifyer
reduces the wash out tendancy of the human eye.

(Someone ,anyone, reviews of the magnifier ?)

You have good eyesight.

I wear glasses and Im good out to about 100 yds w/ my eotech.  I have a friend that is ex-Marine and he sighted in for me and could shoot it more accurately...

I bought it for targets within 100 yds.
