.......watching a movie. When "The Day After Tomorrow" came out on DVD, I bought it. I stopped at a Best Buy in Joilet, IL. I was about 12 hours ahead of schedule for a delivery, so I popped it in the notebook, inserted the earbuds and started watching it. About 30 minutes into the movie, the wind picked up enough to start rocking the big rig, snow started and got really heavy. You couldn't get that kind of experience in a theatre by ANY means! That snow, wind and the 6 inches by midnight (started watching the movie at 8 pm), was beautiful! I just grabbed the movie out of the rack and started watching it, reminded me of that night a few years ago |

Did it freak her out? I'd have loved to see that, that's funny. |

My uncle and cousin were at our cabin watching "Real Life Ghost Stories" after midnight. Shortly after they turned out the lights and went to bed, there was a knock at the door. (Our cabin is in the middle of the woods, far from town, so it is not like people just drop by.) It turned out to be a neighbor landowner and his grandson who had gotten lost in the woods during an evening hike. |

I was living in an old house that ran a generator for power, (lived out in the sticks) it was a cold winter's night and the wind was howling out side, on a full Moonlit night. I was reading Stephen King's 'Salem's Lot' when the gennie ran out of fuel and I lost power. I was so into the book I continued to read by the light of a Coal oil lamp. I was sixteen year old kid alone and scared shitless, it was by far one of the scariest nights of my life....
