Heard on the radio today that SCOTUS is hearing several important cases this week, one of which involves gun control and the 2nd Amendment. The announcer said it appears that the conservative court we have may give a ruling that may prove that "All gun control is unconstitutional" and overturn all gun control laws. Now this was heard on the radio, and the announcer just stated the opinion based on the known facts. I got to thinking, would this in turn repeal the 86 & 68 full auto bans???? Might have to start saving up for a rainy day!!

the court is far from "conservative". There are four complete leftist, two others whom almost always side with the government over the individual and Kennedy who is pretty centrist. The only real vote I consider to be guaranteed is Thomas.

By replacing O'Connor with Alito, this court is even more conservative than the Rhenquist court, and that itself was a rather conservative court. And I'd put a wager on Stevens finding in our favor. |
