What do you think of it?

How many pumps does it take to make enough pressure to ignite the propellant?

Is ammo still manufactured for it?

It's a decent little gun. Mine shoots Ok but it's not a tackdriver. It only needs 1 pump. The ammo is out of production. You can sometimes find some on GunBroker, Auction Arms etc.
This is the plain version. A wood stock was also made.

Nice picture!

Do you have a picture of the ammo?  I'm curious to see what it looked like/ how big it was.

How many fit in the magazine?

No magazine, it's a single shot.
The ammo is a caseless .22 cal. with the propellant stuck to the rear of the bullet. It works like a single pump stroke air rifle. The compressed air being released causes the propellant to ignite and fires the round.
The ammo is packed 10 in a plactic tube, 10 tubes (100rds.) per box and 10 boxes (1000 rds.) per brick.

The VL round is to the right of a standard .22 Long Rifle round.
