Found a 1994 GMC Yukon with Only 80k miles, black with privacy glass. Very clean, no rust on frame or anywhere else. Overall is in great shape for the year. I can get this for $4500.00, seems like a decent deal to me. I am aware of the low gas mileage from a 5.7 v8, but I am just a few minutes from work. Oh, it is a 2 door, thats what I want. Anything to watch out for? THANKS. |

My brother just traded in 4WD 2 door '94 with 180K on the odo. At that price, I'd buy it, and be prepared to spend some money on it. If it's that cheap, most likely reason would be because the tranny needs work. Most of them seem to need it. That 350 should have power enough unless you're pulling a heavy trailer. Mine is a '99 4 door 4WD. |

Well, thanks for the input, picked it up today. Went over all the service records last night. 2 years ago had tranny\trans axle serviced for $1500.00, new radiator, and new ball joints and rod ends. Runs real nice and sounds great. Has k&n air intake and Borla s.s. headers and exhaust. The old '88 S-10 Blazer was put to sleep, only had 90k miles on it. Only drive about 1200 miles a year, close to work. Always on the H-D unless it is too icy to ride. The old S-10 sure was good to me, only cost me tires, a battery and water pump for all those years. (the wife racked up the remaining Blazer miles) Take Care! |

If it's a 4X4 (and even if it isn't), it's probably time for a transmission rebuild (these are notorious for only going 60 - 80KMI before needing a rebuild). Brakes could be an issue, too. Be sure to get the compression checked. Will give you an idea of when it's going to need a rebuild. That said, my 1995 GMC Suburban recently turned over 226,000 miles. Still going strong. |
