Corn is a starch item, I believe. |
well, it aint much of a starch. But you are correct, it is technically a starch. |
steaming is the key!...or you can broil or grill it. here is a really easy way to do it: Steamed Alaskan King Crab Claws or if you have a steamer, use it! |

I'ld just like to add that the crab is not overcooked. It was dark when I bought them but in no way did it effect the flavor. Some times the legs just have a dark coat of something on them. Don't know what it is but it doesnt have any bearing on the flavor and you don't eat it so who cares. The way I cook them is this: Put crab leg clusters in a covered container with about 1/2 of water and a bunch of old bay. I throw sweet corn cobbetts in there too. Cook in the oven for about 20 minutes at 450degrees. You'll be able to tell when the corn is done and when its done so is the crab. Serve with melted butter with old bay and minced garlic. MMMMMmmmmmm good. Thanks for all the possitive comments guys. |
BFD what Mrs. Gloftoe said. 7 years of grand tradition started by Lordtrader tossed out by her fiat? What next? Christmas in April? It doesn't work like that. |
As I understand it, lordtrader's dinner pic was mac & cheese and a Glock. No staplers or tape measures. |
No, had prepared a somewhat impressive meal fpr a bachelor and decided to share. |
I thought it was something like he posted a pic of his dinner, someone asked him what it had to do with guns, so he took another picture with a gun and the dinner pic was born. Besides, staplers and tape measures and all that other silly junk are just a distraction for bad food. You can't eat staplers or tape measures, nor can you fight off the dinner zombies with them. |
