My 6 year old daughter had to have a party. Chips, hors' d'ouevres, a banner that she made, the whole family is over. It's like some new religion or something.

Yup.. the shit caught me out of nowhere, but my two little nieces are head over heels for it.

WTF is it?  I've seen advertisements for it, and all I can puzzle out is that it's some kind of Disney swill.

Pretty much sums it up IMGOAO

... Whew, finally have my house back! Sure, I had fun hosting the party for the girls, but it's sure nice to have the peace (and my house) back

i come home from iraq and all my daughter has to talk about is this crap.  so then my wife comes up with the bright idea of us spending time together watching the sequel the other night.  feigning interest for long periods of time isnt my ideal afternoon, and now i have been slotted to take her to go see the "bratz" movie. i love spending time with my daughter, but maaaan i wish she liked to watch charles bronson movies.

at least ill return to iraq with a good sense of the latest in gay fashion.

I walked in while my 15 Y/O brother was watching it, it was honestly the gayest thing I have ever seen.

Damn.  How old is your daughter?  Mine are 5 and 7, and know that bratz garbage is just that.

What the fuck?  I've never heard of this.  Last night I was at a pool hall with some friends and a few of the girls were talking about some "high school musical" shit.  I had no idea what they were talking about.

Someone wanna fill me in on what the plot behind this show is?

Eh... what is this "plot" you speak of?

I saw very little, but still more than I wanted, from HSM2.  Basic gist:

Some country club is having a talent show.  Country club owner's starlet daughter wants to win the talent show.  Many of her classmates want to enter together, she plots to stop them.  Throw in usual teenage ignorance about relationships.

Both my kids were invited to 2 different H.M.II parties, my 8 y/o son was told "HELL NO!" He asked what it was and my 6y/o daughter wasn't interested. I guess we are strange. They would rather watch Detroit SWAT.
