If you do not wish to have some jackass hijack your account, post racist garbage on the website, and get your account suspended, do not use your login ID as your password. For example: If your user ID is SooperKewl, do not use "SooperKewl" as your password. |

Honest question: Say we have a friend, that got deployed, and had no access to arfcom. Upon their return, they forgot their password. Their email has lone since changed. They are effectively fubar. How does one go about recovering a lost password if the email is incorrect? |
He would have to re-register. |
Aww now yer messin' with me. I know it. |
I take it you haven't seen the Bourne Ultimatim yet. |
Go get 'em, tiger! Arfcom would fall apart without you, cause your job is so important. What would we do if people were allowed to freely speak their mind? I shudder at the thought... |
I'm guessing there more to this than meets the eye. |
HOLY CRAP....how many does that make today? 3....4? |
|
You posted racist garbage more than once. We don't lock people based on a lottery system, knucklehead. A link to the thread and explanation of why you were banned was sent to you via email. If you hadn't repeatedly violated the conduct code, you'd still have a membership here instead of being left with the option of hijacking other user's accounts. |

Wow... As aware of people on this forum are about their surroundings, safety, being prepared and all that... they are naive (or just plain stupid) enough to use their user name as their password? That's kind of ironic. At least if someone ever jacks my account, I'll know it was because I left myself logged in somewhere.

Can you remove my old account then so I can use the same name? The account name is um... thebeekeeper. Thanks. ![]() |
I typed out the proper explanation but I realized I was revealing too much. I'll just say this: Every individual is responsible for the content posted under his user ID. If he cares so little about his account that he chooses to leave it unsecured (by not having a password), then I doubt losing it would make much of a difference. |
That's my question. Why can't you just change the users' password? I mean if you are sure it's a hijack. |
