Building a WWII flash website mainly about guns for someone who wants to remain anonymous right now. I have most of the site built already but am looking for more or better images. I came up with the idea of making a thread contest for you guys to post images relating to things about WWII and what ever I end up using, the poster of that image will receive a prize. The owner of the site agreed to this and will be donating for this. Something gun related, maybe USGI mags and or cash...he hasn't decided yet. I will post what images I end up using and who posted them. So here are some things I want for the site. All things must be related to WWII. Dog tags, Canteens, medals, papers, guns used by infantry, B29 and B17 cockpit images. Mainly good close-ups of the gauges. Ammo belts, American, German and Jap tanks, battle scenes, pin up girls, binoculars, and radios. You get the idea. The more straight on shoot or photograph of the object, the easier it is for me to clip it out and use it. I have most of the home page built already, but intend to swap out better images or incorporate some of the images you guys find. I also have banner images animation to create for some of the interior pages so the op to use new ones posted are there. Here are some of the images I have already. Most of the time I am cutting objects out and placing them where I want. Think about the interface screens of a video game like Medal of Honor, Call of Duty and Battle Field 1942. This is the style of interface I am creating. Here are some thumbs of the types of images I am using already. These are just small thumbs of the larger images. I need large images not small thumbs. Just did this to save load times for the thread.

Maybe you can use something from my map thread here I should still have high resolution images of them. |
Very cool! Field phones are somthing I have been looking for. I can tell ya right now that will be for the contact page. Not really on the concentration camp stuff. But any GI related personal items would be cool as well. |
