Do you have a network set up?

If it's on your home network you will need a network print server or a wireless router with one built in.  That or a network enabled printer.  Many brand new printers have bluetooth interfaces, you could use that with a laptop.

Windows computer?

Control panel/printers/add new printer/search for network printers.

Install printer drivers as needed. Voila'

You'd have to have the printer connected to a computer on your network, and have the printer shared.  Then you connect to the printer as a shared resource on the other computer and then print to it.

I assume your printer is on another computer in your home wireless network?

You will have to go to that computer and enable Printer Sharing.

Also, you will have to have the computers networked.  Consult your wireless router's manual.  It will have step by step instructions.  At least, my D-Link manual does.

It gets complicated when one computer has Win 98, another has XP, another has Vista, etc.  But it can be done.

+1

I assumed you had a network setup.

I have been looking at this new hub accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?sku=A1165289&cs=19&c=us&l=en

It allows you to network USB devices without having another computer on to 'share' them.

There are a couple of ways

1. Wireless Print Server Example

2. Networked Printer Example

Most people go with #2

That's the ticket!

I only have my lap top, so that would do what I need.

#2 only works if you have two or more computers, right?

#1 would probally be better for me.

Thanks
