Show started out taking the skeptic and scientific approach to supposedly haunted or paranormal places/activity.  They had this creed of running to the ghost and not away...

The last few episodes they get these strange feelings and so they get scared and leave the "strange feeling place" in a hurry.

They supposedly get a toy that responds to commands and they don't do shit about it.  Not even call the team down to the incident or even bring it up on the spot.  People!  The toy can fucking count and respond to your commands, don't you think that warrants some attention!  Fucksticks! You get a bad feeling in a place, stay there and INVESTIGATE!

Show has turned into that British cry baby psychic bullshit show Most Haunted or some shit like that.

Boo...

Yeah, their reaction in that episode that you mentioned seemed a little bizarre.  Still an entertaining TV show none the less... My favorite is still the St. Augustine Lighthouse (which is a really cool place to visit as well).

Yeah I've been disappointed with the last couple of episodes.

I hope they get their shit together again and do some real investigating.

Nooooooooooooooooooooo.

That was the best part of the show. 75% of the places were "not haunted". "Hey, this door opens by itself. But there's no ghost, just don't slam this other door" or "hey buddy you're seeing shit and feeling weird in this spot because this vent here is connected to the one next to where you store chemicals in your garage." 24% were just odd and 1% had something cool.

It made the odd time where they did find something cool, well, cooler.

Have watched the show since the very begining and it is one of my favorites. I agree with Gargoyle on WTF are they thinking when they get out of a room they get a bad feeling in. Always seems to be Donna & that other guy that freek out.......they need to be left at home.

I would have had the whole fuckin team descend upon that toy and investigate the hell out of it.  The only thing I'm thinking is if they knew they were bing duped by someone with a remote and didn't want to make a big deal about it, but keep the shots for entertainment wonder factor.

I agree. They mostly find nothing, its Sci-Fi who over embellishes everything.

Yeah, checking it out closer probably would have been prudent.

Then shoot it.

You need to make a trip here and let me take you to the St. Augustine Light House.

That's true... And the one at the Stanely Hotel where the closet door opened and closed by itself and the glass on the nightstand shattered by itself.

Remember those Coast Guard guys being WOWED by the footage of the chair moving!  It was funny, there they were sitting ther in perfect military bearing, thinking " You kooks" then that clip comes on and they about jumped out of their chairs!

I love this show. And I like that they debunk everything but once in a while there is something unexplainable. Unlike Most Haunted where every show is something crazy going on. I like the one they did at Eastern State Penitentiary tho. But I'm sure it wasn't real.

Is the St. Augustine lighthouse the one where they say the person peak over the side of the stair railing and they couldn't figure it out. I only saw part of that one and I have been hoping to see it again.

I was pissed when the episode where they were on some ship and the camera caught the covers being pulled off the bed but someone stopped the camera and rigged it.

The one with the dragon toy- was that the same one where Grant and Jay were in the attic and it was all wierd and the faucet turned on by itself and they couldn't figure out why? Or two different episodes?

The Stanley Hotel one was good too I would love to go stay there sometime. Besides that the show has gone a bit downhill since it first started but I still watch it every week and enjoy it.

I like the show, but its complete bullshit IMO.  The most haunted episode was some kind of lighthouse where they saw a shadow that appeared to run up a spiral staircase.  Ok so you actually found something paranormal.  How about you go back to that place with 1000 cameras and record for a week, and show the best of a real haunting?  Why don't they do that?  Because its all bullshit.  But I still like the show.

Are you sure it was Most Haunted where the saw the shadow run up the stair case cause I really thought it was Ghost Hunters cause I remember Grant and Jay running up after it.

Another one that was a good episode of Ghost Hunters was when they were in some old castle and Grant went and sat down in the oubliette. Nothing really happened but I wouldn't have done it, that would have been frickn creepy!

There is definatley a clear distinction bewteen this season and the prior seasons.  You could see hints of the "entertainment value prevailing over the objective and investigative value" of last season, but now its all changed to entertainment via emotions and limited investigation.

I'm surprised that no one has thought the same thing and decided to do investigations on a place that maybe last... hmm, let's say 2-3 nights so that the people could do it on a weekend.  Setup up some gear, record the findings, edit it with Premiere and post it on YouTube.  I'm sure that within a couple of months you'd have a following and get picked by some network within a year or so (as long as you do good work).  The gear really doesn't cost that much - with the exception of the thermal camera, but I think you can get away without having one.

Just a thought...

I dunno, the one at the sanitarium where the 10k TB victims died wouldn't have been nearly as eerie without the thermal cam footage.

Was that the one where they saw something run across the hall and disappear into the wall? And Grant and Jay couldn't figure out what it was? On thermal

You're right, forgot about that one... That death chute was crazy.

At least the thermal cams have gone down in price... I just checked out a few in the low $1k's.

ETA: Scratch that... I just realized that the prices on the site that I was looking at were weekly rental prices!

I doesn't matter which "ghost hunting" show it is, they all pretty much suck.

They always hear or see something that they never get on video or audio.  They get freaked out and the camera goes every which way.  You're just suppose to take their word for it that they saw or heard something.

It borders on the same crap as Crossing Over with John Edwards or any other fraud and/or frauds.  I'd rather watch re-runs of Unsolved Mysteries.
