Here's my new 2007 Toyota Tacoma SR5 V6 (2WD--no reason for 4WD):

This is actually the first car I bought in my own name. I really like it so far.

Nice Taco!  I was about the get the exact same thing plus TRD Sport package, but the deals on the Tundras are too good to pass up.  I am picking mine up tomorrow, I will just avoid bumpy roads with an entrance speed of 27 MPH.

I should have taken a picture of the "Made in USA" printed next to the VIN

It's a nice truck. I looked at one just like yours with a sticker price of $ 23,400. ( NJ) Good Luck

Can't believe your true "first" car was a dealership buy.

There once was a guy named Paco
His Motto was quite macho
He said, "To be blunt, Gawd decreed we eat c%#t"
Why else would he shape it like a taco?

Nice truck.  I really like the TRD Tacoma's but they look so nice I still wouldn't want to scratch it up.  I drive a 06 4Runner as daily driver, with my 99 Frontier 4x4 as the woods truck.

Congrats on your purchase.

Nice looking truck.

I was suprised at the amount of power that the v-6 had when I drove my stepdad's prerunner 2wd tacoma.  It would roast the tires at every stop sign.  Nice trucks.

Nice truck.  Myself,  I would have opted for the 4 door model. That back seat looks a little small.

They're not quite as tough as the old ones, but still good trucks. I have about 20K on my 07 double cab. Check out the forums at toyotanation.com

I'm looking at getting the 4 door, long bed version. I don't need 4 x 4, so'll I'll get the 4 x 2 prerunner version.

How's the back seat? From the pictures I've seen, it'd be great to fold down and carry stuff on, but how's it to transport full size people?

I ended up paying about $25k with TTL. Sticker was about $28k before TTL ($31k with TTL).

I looked at the 4-door but had no use for the extra space and liked the way the 2-door drove better.

Welcome to the club.  Nice truck.  My Taco is a "badge of honor."  It still runs so well with almost 200k on the odometer, I am set on having it until at least 300k.

The back seat is a lot better than the older models but still not a full size seat. It would be fine for around town, but I wouldn't want to sit in them for a long trip. They fold forward to make the back floor flat and have storage underneath them.

Thanks dude.  Sounds like you did a good job at talking them down.  I'm gonna buy a truck next year, but it will probably be a Nissan.  Although, I bought bought my wife a Sienna last year and we are very pleased with it.  Congrats.
